New owner of Tourist 102.A1

Beitrag von alexd912 » 07.03.2016, 06:41

Hi all,

Just wanted to introduce to myself as a new owner of a Tourist 102.A1.

I'm living in Finland, Helsinki and bought it from Germany last week.

From what I can tell from the original documentation (yep original!!) it spent a lot of its life in East Germany (Berlin) from 1957-

It was restored some 10 years ago as far as I know.

Here are a couple of pictures from it for those that are interested.

Regards

Alex

Welcome to the forum of the Heinkel-Club Deutschland e.V.
You bought a nice piece.
Looks like it is in a perfect condition. However - if you have any questions, please ask. There are always members who helps to translate and triy to find an answer.

BTW: Meanwhile about 10% of our members are international.

HI there,

Thanks and this is my 1st Tourist as I am normally playing with Messerschmitt Kr200's.

I am curious about the history or when it was possibly built as the paper work mentions 1954.
I think the chassis number is 121312

How many 102.A1's are known to have survived?

Were they fitted with some pump or similar as when I turn on the ignition I hear what sounds like fuel pump sound?

Is there a reserve in the tank and if so how many KM would I expect to get from it?

From what I can see it is in good condition, but is there anything I should be aware of when riding one or servicing it? Any week areas I should be careful of?

When should the Engine Oil be change, Chaincase oil, just those little things.

I believe it has the original carb, but is that the original air filter/choke mechanism? (see attached pic)

Any tips are very well appreciated.

Thanks

Alex

I start with some answers.

>>How many 102.A1's are known to have survived?
Unknown, there is not a specific register for this model.
